Reinvigorated Beer Menu at CRAFT Beer Market

Last week  (January 24, 2017) I attended the new beer menu launch at CRAFT right here in Edmonton. Along with some suggested food pairings, some local Breweries had some samples on hand.  Yellowhead brought their Premium Lager. Big Rock was handing out their Rock Creek Dry Apple Cider. Situation was sampling their Page Turner IPA and Wood Buffalo from Fort McMurray had their new Northern Lite Pilsner. Afterwards we were treated to a brief but informative crash course by a certified cicerone Rob, as he showed us some of his favourite brews spanning several varieties. My favourite thing about these types of events is the opportunity to talk beer with complete strangers. Beer lovers of all types never miss a chance to chat about their favourite brews and breweries. I also ran into a rep for Goat Locker Brewing and we chatted about their newest beer the Fainting Bock. Good to see they are having success. I was able to quickly interview one of their owners about a week after they launched their first beer at the Edmonton Craft Beer Festival, here is that episode (19:18).

You can find the up to date beer menu for the Edmonton location of CRAFT here. One thing I was excited to discover is their happy hour (3-6PM) pricing that includes 30 Alberta Beers for $3. What a great excuse to try some different local brews! As an added bonus the Baja Fish Tacos were $3 each on the Tuesday I was there. I get them almost every time I go, I can’t help it.

Thanks to Rob and the crew at CRAFT Beer Market for a very informative evening.
